I consult a variety of online resources when I’m writing and editing; one of my favorite grammar guides is  Grammar Girl’s blog at quickanddirtytips.com. I give Mignon Fogarty a giant gold star for creating one of the friendliest grammar guides on the interwebs. Her blog is super useful for novices and certified grammarians alike.

I refer to her recently-posted editing checklist daily. Her post on when to use first, second, and third person even breaks it all down into handy tables. I love tables!

She posts about the proper use of i.e. versus e.g., when to capitalize job titles, whether to use affective or effective, and so much more.

She also shares grammar, punctuation, style, and business tips on her pod cast.
