Recently, I was in charge of planning the logistics for a daylong staff retreat for my company. In the process of researching potential venues I discovered an amazing resource: Peerspace.com. Peerspace does everything from small business meetings to large complex events like performances and weddings. It is a fabulous tool and is available in many locations across the U.S.

If you’ve ever been in charge of event planning, you know how much work goes in to finding a great venue, AV equipment, chairs and tables, catering, etc. Well, Peerspace does all of that for you. I created an account, researched potential venues, contacted the venue managers of some promising spaces, took a few tours, and settled on a wonderful site. All in all, it took me a couple weeks to find the perfect space. Once I had the space reserved, Peerspace took care of everything else. Instead of having to do my own research on catering for breakfast, coffee, snacks, and lunch, I simply let Danielle, my contact with the Peerspace concierge service, know what I needed in terms of catering, and in a few short days she responded with a delicious menu that fit all of our needs, including plenty of tasty noms for our vegetarians and vegans. Luckily, the venue had all the chairs, tables, and AV equipment we needed, but if they had not, Peerspace could provide those items, too.
And when I had to make a last minute change regarding the start time of our retreat, the venue manager was easy to work with, and my requested change was made with no problem.
After our retreat was over and done, the feedback I received from my colleagues was all positive. Everyone LOVED the venue and raved about how great the food was. Some even said it was the best staff retreat we’ve ever had.

Peerspace will forever more be my go-to site for event planning.
